CHANTIER
CHANTIER is a performance featuring a suspended piano and construction sounds, set on a construction site at dawn.
The live music emanating from the piano – a noble instrument – blends with pre-recorded construction sounds – engine noise, falling materials, saws, cement mixers, etc. – creating a contrasting soundscape that juxtaposes the raw and the refined, inviting reflection on aesthetic and melodic contrasts.
Within the construction site itself, the audience – seated on deck chairs and equipped with headphones – are immersed in a space where music and industrial environment coexist. This immersion in a normally off-limits location offers both an individual and collective experience in the heart of the unfinished.
